Finidng Files in OS X.2, X.3
System X.2 and X.3 find files in very similar ways. The first image is an example of a File/Find window in X.2, the second is an example of a File/Find window in X.3.
Click the desktop and go to File/Find.
- Select the places you wish to look in the Search In drop down menu.
- Type in all or part of the name of the document in the file name field.
- Set any other parameters you would like using the file name, content, +, - and add criteria options.
- Click search.
- Your computer will list all results matching your criteria. By single clicking a file name, you can see its location. Double clicking an icon will open it.
Below is an example of the same window for OS X.3. As you can see, it is very similar.
- In the example below, the iTunes application can be found in the Mac HD in the Applications folder.
